Investors don't lose money because of bad ideas. They lose it because of bad controls. Amien Gassiep exists to make sure that never happens. With 20 years of governance, risk, and audit leadership across Big 4, JSE-listed entities, and multinationals, Amien doesn't just protect capital. He builds the infrastructure that makes companies worth investing in.
Amien holds an MBA and is CISA certified. He has built 8 audit functions from scratch, recovered $40 million, overseen operations across 7 countries, caught fraud, transformed cultures, and established enduring control functions.
From forensic investigations to board-level governance, from AI-powered audit automation to full operational oversight across seven international offices, Amien has consistently been handed greater responsibility because his results demanded it. At PwC. At OneLogix. At Redefine Properties. At Trademarkia. The pattern is always the same: he arrives, he builds, he delivers.
He speaks the language of founders, boards, and investors equally. He spots what due diligence misses. He creates governance that scales without strangling growth. And he integrates AI into financial oversight before most organizations know they need it. He is not a compliance checkbox. He is a value creation engine. The best VC portfolios don't wait for a crisis to find someone like Amien. The smart ones make sure he's already in the room.
