Acceptance
By accessing or using patentvc.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the Site. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and PatentVC.
Who we are
PatentVCis the venture investment arm of Trademarkia. References to “PatentVC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the PatentVC entity operating this Site and its affiliates. Contact details are on the contact page.
Permitted use of the Site
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes and for submitting a legitimate application or inquiry. Founders, investors, press, counsel, and service-provider candidates are welcome.
Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy the Site or its content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or probe for vulnerabilities
- Use the Site to transmit malware or to harass any person
- Submit applications on behalf of a company without authorization
- Misrepresent your identity, your company, or your lead investor status
- Use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Your submissions
When you submit an application, email, or other material, you represent that (a) you have the right to submit it, (b) it's accurate, and (c) it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. We treat application materials as confidential - see the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of your submitted materials. You grant us a limited license to use them solely for evaluating fit, conducting diligence, and engaging with you. We do not assert ownership of your idea.
Our intellectual property
The Site - including text, graphics, logos, layouts, and the PatentVC and Trademarkia marks - is owned by PatentVC or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international IP laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP to you beyond the limited viewing license above.
No legal, financial, or investment advice
Content on the Site is for general informational purposes. Reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship, an investment-adviser relationship, or any fiduciary duty. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything you read here. For the full statement, see the Not legal advice page.
Not a securities offering
Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security. PatentVC is not registered as a broker-dealer or investment adviser and does not act as one in connection with the Site. Any investment that PatentVC makes is made pursuant to separate, negotiated transaction documents with accredited investors and issuers.
Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites - including our affiliate Trademarkia and named co-investors. We don't control those sites and don't endorse their content. Visiting them is at your own risk under their own terms.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold PatentVC, its affiliates, partners, and employees harmless from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of JAMS - except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP infringement. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
